Our Story

Howdy!

We are Matt & Cindi Hannes, owners of 1876 Roofing & Construction. We are active members of the Bryan/College Station and Greater Brazos Valley Community.​

Matt has been in the construction industry for over 40 years and has a wealth of knowledge in areas such as roofing, ventilation, design, landscaping, drainage, and so much more. He obtained his B.S. in Design & Development from Sam Houston State University.​ As a retired Firefighter & Paramedic, Matt has a passion for helping others, whether it is serving with the Brazos Valley Pct 3 Volunteer Fire Department, assisting the Brazos Valley ESD Board with helping our community improve their ISO (Insurance Service Office) Rating, or serving on multiple boards at our church.​ Matt is an absolute FOODIE!

Cindi is also a graduate from Sam Houston State University with a B.S. in Accounting. She loves networking, building relationships, & helping empower clients through education. Cindi served as a Rotary Youth Ambassador to Germany and still keeps in touch with friends & relatives abroad, as well as attending monthly gatherings with other Germans in the BCS area. Cindi is also an active member of her church and BNI Brazos Valley One Stop.​

We have three awesome adult children who we love hanging out with. Two of them are Aggies and one is attending Blinn.

We are members of the Brazos Valley Chamber of Commerce, regularly attend One Million Cups, are on a task force at church, and are active Board members for the Brazos Valley Chapter of the Coastal Conservation Association of Texas (CCA). We love to travel, dance, and meet new people. Building relationships means that even if we can't help you,  we can almost always connect the dots to someone who can!
